Ink Eze, founder of AsoEbiBella, was listed on the annual Forbes 30 Under 30 List which features the world’s “young movers and makers”, “best and boldest young leaders”.

This year’s Forbes Africa list had three categories – Technology, Business and Creative.

Here’s what Forbes wrote about our fashion community –

Ink Eze is the founder of Aso Ebi Bella, an online community connecting traditional fashion enthusiasts with SMEs in the fashion, beauty and wedding industry primarily in Nigeria with growing interests across Africa and beyond.

“The #AsoEbiBella journey started with a hashtag I created in 2013 while I was an employee of BellaNaija.com where I convinced my employer to launch a then bi-weekly, now weekly AsoEbiBella feature on their site as it garnered millions of website views, it became my side hustle,” she says.

This fashion tech startup has over 17 million organic weekly impressions, over 1.5 million followers across social media, while their platform, AsoEbiBella.com, has garnered over 600,000 in the last 11 months. The company has delivered campaigns and collaborated with Nigerian and international brands including Orijin, Renaissance (now Radisson Blu Hotels and Unilever’s Sunlight detergent.

Happy, Honoured and Thankful I’m on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list (Technology) this year!

So grateful to God, thankful to my family who constantly push me, pray for me and discuss all my ideas with me, my team Damien, Dami & tech team who work days, nights and weekends, my friends who are always my first audience, the SMEs in the creative space who put out amazing work despite Nigeria’s infrastructural challenges (lack of electricity etc.), and to the amazing beautiful #AsoEbiBella who prove our traditional attire is creative, and worth being celebrated all over the world.

Special love to everyone who nominated me. May God also call you forth for great tasks and reward your excellence with accolades.

“Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings”

Proverbs 22:29 NIV

To my Father in heaven, and my father in heaven, I hope I continue to make you proud.
