AsoEbiBella: What’s your name and brand name?

Stylistabymaureen: Maureen Daniels, CN-Daniels couture.

AsoEbiBella: At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion?

Stylistabymaureen: At a very young age, way back in Benin lol.

AsoEbiBella: How would you describe your style?

Stylistabymaureen: My style is Artsy and Elegant.

AsoEbiBella: What are your favorite colors?

Stylistabymaureen: White, black, green.

AsoEbiBella: What is your favorite Aso Ebi fabric to wear?

Stylistabymaureen: I don’t really have a preference for Aso Ebi fabrics.

AsoEbiBella: How did you decide to turn your passion into profit?

Stylistabymaureen: Back in London I was a makeup artist and hair stylist, I returned to Nigeria and continued as an MUA and hairstylist for music videos until after my wedding. My husband who’s a fashion designer saw what he often calls a “natural” in me and lovingly talked me into it. And the rest, as they say, is history.

AsoEbiBella: What are the best and worst aspect of working in a fashion industry in Nigeria?

Stylistabymaureen: The best part for me is working with my husband and of course the joy when I see someone looking gorgeous in my design is indescribable. The worst part has to be when we didn’t have sufficient tailors, I would’ve to joggle between tailoring, meeting with clients and creating new designs. That almost drove me insane!

AsoEbiBella: What do you look out for in Aso Ebi?

Stylistabymaureen: Fabric texture, color, the event and of course the venue.

AsoEbiBella: What is your memorable Aso Ebi style moment?

Stylistabymaureen: The first time Asoebibella featured my outfit. Lol! It was crazy, friends were calling me from all over to share the news. It was then I realized the game just got real.

AsoEbiBella: What has been the inspiration behind your Aso Ebi styles?

Stylistabymaureen: The Holy Spirit has been my biggest inspiration, the need to do better than the last one and my darling hubby who never settles for anything less than the best. Thank you and hope you find my answers useful.
