Meet our #AsoEbiBella style slayers of the week – Kehney x Misstylove

AsoEbiBella: What’s your name and brand name?

Kehney: Kehinde Odenusi and my brand name is @kehney for @Feferitydesignsbykehney.

Misstylove: My name is Taiwo Odenusi and my brand name is @feferityfaces.

AsoEbiBella: At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion?

Kehney x Misstylove: We became fascinated at age 8 while growing up, our mom won’t give up on us dressing alike at all times, She made sure we looked good anytime we go out. She is always color conscious.

AsoEbiBella: How would you describe your style?

Kehney: I love to look good always. Comfortability & simplicity does it for me.

Misstylove: I like keeping the face simply flawless and detailed while stepping out.

AsoEbiBella:  What are your favorite colors?

Kehney: Blue, I have no restrictions trying other colors.

Misstylove: My favorite colors are Pink and White.

AsoEbiBella: What is your favorite Aso Ebi fabric to wear?

Kehney: A detailed Ankara fabric with patterns to work with, working with patterns can be more challenging.

Misstylove: My favorite Aso Ebi fabric to wear is Ankara, because of its uniqueness; the designs are versatile and also the prints can be done as an Ankara- Inspired makeup look.

AsoEbiBella: How did you decide to turn your passion into profit?

Kehney: Fashion Design to me didn’t come naturally, nor is it something I always knew I wanted to do. My interest in designing for others grew when I started getting compliments on the outfits I wear.

Misstylove: I decided to turn my passion into profit as a makeup artist after I emerged as a winner of MUD Makeup competition in 2015. I love what I do so it became my constant dedication: tasking myself to render good services to people by bringing out their inner beauty and they step out in a simply unique way with my signature on their faces.

AsoEbiBella: What are the best and worst aspects of working in a fashion/beauty industry in Nigeria?

Kehney: The best aspect of the fashion industry in Nigeria is getting good feedbacks and referrals from people outside Nigeria and working with people that know what you want.

The worst aspect is employing lazy staffs, having sleepless nights for orders when trying to meet up with deadlines and lack of electricity.

Misstylove: The best aspect in makeup industry is when you get good feedbacks from your Client, referrals, and recognition out there which grants me the benefits of traveling, payment, and glamor.

The worst aspect of being a makeup artist, well, it doesn’t look easy the way we see it because you have to pay attention to details as an expert, stay focused, craft a well -shaded face and face shape appropriately but without that it ruins developing recommendations, referrals and your portfolio.

AsoEbiBella: What do you look out for in Aso Ebi?

Kehney: Being comfortable & standing out in a not so revealing outfit are the things I look out for in my Aso Ebi.

Misstylove: I look out for Uniqueness! Stepping out simply, accessorizing if necessary and bringing out the best in the fabric in a stylish way.

AsoEbiBella: What is your most memorable Aso Ebi style moment?

Kehney: My favorite will be when I combined Velvet and Ankara

Misstylove: My favorite Aso Ebi moment was when I rocked a combination of Velvet and Ankara which was made by @kehney, it turned out to be unique and superb!

AsoEbiBella: What has been the inspiration behind your Aso Ebi styles?

Kehney: My inspiration comes from people around me, no restraints, I can get my inspiration from anywhere. Most times I discuss with my twin sister and we share ideas.

Misstylove: I and my twin discuss how the Aso Ebi style will bring out the uniqueness of the fabric, once we conclude, I leave it to my twin @kehney to do justice and it always comes out Fabulous, thanks to her always.
