Meet our #AsoEbiBella style slayer of the week – @tyntyfashions_tntfashions
AsoEbiBella: What’s your name and brand name
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: My name is Olubunmi Adenugba and my brand’s name is T & T Fashions.
AsoEbiBella: At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions:I can’t be very specific about the age but according to family members, they said I’ve been very fascinated about fashion since when I was very little.
AsoEbiBella: How would you describe your style?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: I love elegance and simplicity. So most of my designs especially for women are always geared towards those two factors.
AsoEbiBella: What are your favorite colors?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: As a fashion business minded individual, I would hate to say I have a favorite color. I work with all colors that will bring out the best styles in my designs.
AsoEbiBella: What is your favourite Aso Ebi fabric to wear?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: I love Tulle lace.
AsoEbiBella: How did you decide to turn your passion into profit?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: My disdain for working 9 to 5 was what lured my interest in turning my passion into profit. I realized early that engaging your passion into your everyday life is how you can possibly marginalize and sustain lasting independence.
AsoEbiBella: What are the best and worst aspect of working in a fashion industry in Nigeria?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: While i am based in Maryland Usa, I am so happy to see the growth and awareness the fashion industry in Nigeria is getting globally. The fashion industry in Nigeria is becoming a force to be reckoned with while also helping to boost the economy. The Era of looking at every fashion designer through the lens of a tailor is long gone. Fashion design is becoming a respectable field and I would like to see more universities in Nigeria having programs of study for the field in Nigeria just like most western countries. We need more Nigerians to patronize Nigeria made designs. Patronizing Nigeria made designs would help to encourage nigerian fashion designers and also bring it to the global stage. Most influential Nigerians would rather spend millions of dollars on designs made in western nations than to buy locally. Tourism is another factor that is affecting fashion designers because of the government can encourage more tourism in Nigeria, it will enable people from all over the world to have access to designs made locally thereby giving the awareness attention the fashion industry deserves.
AsoEbiBella: What do you look out for in Aso Ebi?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: Before deciding what asoebi to wear, I think it’s best to consider what kind of occasion it is. The kind of occasions usually would determine how flamboyant or simple we would like the aso ebi to be before other factors such as the kind of fabrics, color and style comes in.
AsoEbiBella: What is your memorable Aso Ebi style moment?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: When i wore the purple fitted laced dress with a long tulle lace.. The reaction was priceless when i got to the event venue.
AsoEbiBella: What has been the inspiration behind your Aso Ebi styles?
Tyntyfashions_tntfashions: To be honest customer satisfaction is what drives my inspiration. Seeing a customer satisfied and having that wow look when they see the asoebi in person or the aftermath in pictures is what “ginger my swagg…..lol”. For every satisfied customer my inspiration raises to power 100.
