AsoEbiBella: What’s your name and brand name?

Aladukeh: My name is Oluwatomi Aduke Adesiyan ; My brand name is Aladukeh.

AsoEbiBella: At what age did you start becoming fascinated with fashion?

Aladukeh: I started getting fascinated with fashion at about age 7 (I remember I would bother mum about wanting a particular type of dress and matching high heels, Lol, then she would talk me out of it saying it’s not meant for children.

AsoEbiBella: How would you describe your style?

Aladukeh:  I would describe my style as Versatile yet Sophisticated; I’m always open to stepping out of my comfort zone.

AsoEbiBella:  What are your favorite colors?

Aladukeh:  My favorite colors are Purple, Yellow and Blue.

AsoEbiBella: What is your favourite Aso Ebi fabric to wear?

Aladukeh: My favourite aso ebi fabric is Ankara; Ankara is just so beautiful and it’s African too!

AsoEbiBella: How did you decide to turn your passion into profit?

Aladukeh: This is an interesting one, for a long time I tried to convince people close to me to go into fashion so I could patronize them but none listened to me. I used to sketch designs I wanted for my fashion designer, I was so interested but then I was in another line of business so I forgot about it. But it kept getting laid upon my heart “I think I can do this’ so I went ahead to get trained with the thought of sewing for myself alone, But Alas people kept asking who my designer was and started placing orders so I couldn’t resist. I enjoy fashion designing so it was easy making it a business.

AsoEbiBella: What are the best and worst aspect of working in a fashion industry in Nigeria?

Aladukeh: The best aspect of working in the Nigerian fashion industry is how well Nigerian have accepted Nigerian designers. The worst aspect is the issue of power supply.

AsoEbiBella: What do you look out for in Aso Ebi?

Aladukeh: What I look out for in aso ebi is fit and details.

AsoEbiBella: What is your memorable Aso Ebi style moment?

Aladukeh: My memorable aso ebi style moment is when I wore an Ankara print that had a scissor pattern, it spoke volume, it told a story of who I am “a fashion designer”.

AsoEbiBella: What has been the inspiration behind your Aso Ebi styles?

Aladukeh:  The inspiration behind my aso ebi styles is my love for Art and everything African.
